from the desk of the principal
I am so excited about this school year. Crossville Middle School is such an awesome place to be a student, teacher or principal. I get the privilege of being your principal. There are so many things going on that it is difficult to know where to start.
Let me begin with the how smoothly our school year started. We have 824 students here at CMS and are adding daily to that number. We coordinate with Elementary and High School to transport students on 25 buses. This is no small job considering all the county roads our buses travel. Thanks to Mr. Timmons’s hard work, CMS students are provided safe transportation to and from school each day.
I would like to talk for a moment about the supportive staff at CMS. Thanks to Pam Lowery and the lunchroom staff for the great menu this year. The secretaries Patti Rhodes and Beverly Rusk do an excellent job welcoming visitors and keeping our school running. Mayra Olivares, our translator works hard every day to communicate school related activities with students, parents, and teachers. Faye Kilgo and Phillip Pointer work tirelessly to keep our campus clean. The teachers at CMS are compassionate, professional, and innovative.
Technology will always be making advancements and so will we. CMS is adding yet another new computer lab. Renovations have begun, and new computers are ordered. I want to thank our leadership team for their vision and support as we move into the 21st Century.
